Hidden Villa Guidelines ~ Suggested Menus

Breakfast: (the simpler the better as there is much to be done in the morning)

  • Bagels with cream cheese, fruit and juice
  • Cold cereal (not pre-sweetened), milk
  • Fruit and healthy muffins
  • Granola
  • Yogurt
  • Toast and jam

Lunch: (Remember, lunches are packed during busy morning schedule - ideally, in recyclable containers).

  • Peanut butter and jelly sandwich with fresh or dried fruit
  • Meat and / or cheese sandwich with trail mix
  • Carrot and celery sticks, cookies
  • WATER IN A REUSABLE WATER BOTTLE

Dinner:

  • Spaghetti with tossed salad
  • Chili with crackers or garlic bread
  • Taco or burrito bar
  • Carrot and celery sticks
  • Yogurt and fruit salad dessert

Snacks: Any evening snacks should be sugarless to allow children to go to sleep easily. For daytime or evening snacks:

  • Pretzels
  • Nuts
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Popcorn
  • Trail mix
  • Fresh or dried fruit
  • Carrots
