What is the Farm Academy?
The Farm Academy is a summer program for high school students who want to learn more about food production and the environment by working on a productive farm.
What is Hidden Villa?
Hidden Villa is a working, educational farm and wilderness preserve with classes and camp programs for kids and adults.
When does it happen?
The Farm Academy will take place twice a week throughout the summer. We will meet from 9am-2pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays from mid-June through August.
What will I get out of it?
By being a part of the Farm Academy, you will get to:
- Learn more about farming and environmental/food issues
- Meet other high schoolers interested in these topics
- Enjoy farm fresh food and have a great time
- Earn community service hours for school
How can I get involved?
Download an application (pdf), send it in, and then we will schedule an informal interview. Even if you are interested in Hidden Villa but unavailable this summer, we can help you find another volunteer opportunity at Hidden Villa.
Application Deadline: Our application deadline has been extended. Please submit your application as soon as possible to be considered for this summer.
For more information on other summer opportunities at Hidden Villa (horticulture landscapes, community programs office, summer camp office, and development office), see our Volunteers page.
