Program Heads: (3 positions, $325/week + DOE + room & board) Excellent communications skills, ability to relate to and supervise others. At least three (3) years working in camping or equivalent experience, with at least one year as a supervisor. Responsible with co-program head for managing one of four programs (Day Camp, Tipi Camp, Resident Camp, Farm and Wilderness) which includes supervising staff, counselor interns and campers in the program. Also responsible for serving as a member of all camp management staff. Must have a strong interest in developing camp programs. Pre-campProgram Head training required May 31-June 5.
Health Care Manager / Nurse: (1 position, $450/week + DOE + room & board)
Licensed RN or LVN desired. EMT or current Wilderness First Responder/CPR considered. Experience with children and young adults. Ability to monitor health care, maintain records and supplies, implement health care plan and manage an established budget. Desire to live and work in a camp community. Pre-campProgram Head training required May 31-June 5.
Cook: (1 position, $12/hr +DOE + housing negotiable) Current Safe Serve certification preferred.
Work with Food Service Manager to estimate needs, and to order, receive and store food and supplies. Assist in training kitchen staff. Function as a general all-around cook for all meals and special events. Ability to plan and prepare foods for special needs groups and those with dietary restrictions (Vegan, Food Allergies, etc). Maintain kitchen with a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation and safety. Experience as a cook and/or assistant cook, preferably at a camp. Ability to relate well with others in a camp setting. Must be available for required program training June 1-13.
Food Service Manager: (1 position, $13/hr +DOE + housing negotiable.) Current Safe Serve certification preferred. Oversee all of Camp’s Food Service, supervise and train a six person kitchen staff. Meet needs for all camp programs. Maintain kitchen with a high standard of cleanliness, sanitation and safety. Responsibilities include: Menu planning, ordering, cooking, inventory, scheduling and payroll. Ability to plan and prepare foods for special needs groups and those with dietary restrictions (Vegan, Food Allergies, etc) Excellent communication skills, ability to relate to and supervise others. Experience in a camp or institutional food-service setting. Must be available May 31-Aug. 16.
