New After School Programs at Hidden Villa!

The very first session of our brand new After School Adventures program was a great success, and we are excited to be offering even more sessions for Spring 2017! After School Adventures is designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade students to engage in the outdoors, make lasting friendships, and explore the natural world through kid directed, inquiry-based learning and play. After receiving requests for these types of programs for years and we're thrilled to give parents and caregivers the opportunity to have their children explore Hidden Villa's farm and wilderness once a week for an entire semester.  Children will have a blast and it will be a perfect change of pace from their day in the classroom.

After School Adventures rounds out Hidden Villa's after school offerings. We now have after school programming at Hidden Villa for almost all school age children; PreK through 12th grade.  Here is a short list of the available opportunities:

Preschoolers on the Farm (PreK)

Bury your hands in sheep wool, throw corn to the chickens, and more! There's lots to discover on the farm; we ask your child the questions and they discover the answers in this fun weekly class just for the preschool set. This is a 3-Part Series class.

After School Adventures (K - 5th grade)

Children spend their afternoons engaging with our farm animals, observing wild critters, taking hikes through the forest, discovering native plants, cultivating their green thumbs, and expressing their creativity and curiosity in a natural setting.  Through inquiry-based learning, this program will reinforce the Next Generation Science Standards used in most classrooms and feels more like play than instruction.

Wednesdays: March 1-May 24 (12 classes)
Thursdays: March 2-May 25 (12 classes)
Fridays:  March 3-May 26 (12 classes)
