Community Supported Agriculture Members

A majority of the food grown through the Community Supported Agriculture Program provides subscribing members with a weekly share of fresh, organic vegetables and fruits grown on our farm. Members purchase a share of the harvest before the season in February-March and we pack baskets for them once a week from Mid-May to Thanksgiving.
CSA members choose a weekly pick up site. Shares can be picked up at Hidden Villa, in Mountain View, or in Palo Alto. We offer single and double share sizes. A single share typically feeds two people and a double share feeds four. The quantity and variety of food in the share box varies greatly during the season and you can expect to experience and learn from seasonal fluctuations. See our registration form for prices and pick up times.
Healthy Foods, Healthy Families
Through Hidden Villa’s Healthy Foods, Healthy Families program, our Community Supported Agriculture department provides approximately 25% of our organic bounty to our low-income neighbors through the Community Services Agency in Mountain View. In 2010, this donation amounted to 11,912 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables. Since the program’s founding in 2006, Hidden Villa has been the only source of regularly delivered organic produce and the only partnering organization growing vegetables for the primary purpose of distribution through the Community Service Agency’s food bank.
Farmers Market
After providing food for our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) members and the Community Services Agency in Mountain View, the remaining yield of produce is sold at the Los Altos Farmers Market. For people who want to eat the most local, organic produce but are not yet ready to commit to our weekly shares of produce, the farmer’s market is the perfect option. As an added bonus, when visiting our stall at the market, you can get to know the Hidden Villa farmers who are growing your food.
