Group Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer groups enable us to complete large projects. Group volunteering is also a great way to for your company or organization to give back to the community while engaging in team building. No previous experience is necessary and the appropriate training is provided for all opportunities. Here are some of the volunteer activities that are perfect for groups:
Organic Farming
Available on select Wednesdays; for ages 16 and older Come join our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) team as they grow Hidden Villa’s produce. With your hands in the soil, you’ll learn from our expert farmers how Hidden Villa practices small-scale organic farming. Typical activities include seasonal planting, transplanting, weeding, harvesting, building the occasional protective gopher cage, and more.
Horticulture and Ornamental Gardening
Availability varies; for ages 16 and older Come join our Property Manager and our Horticulturist in maintaining Hidden Villa as an enjoyable place for garden strolls as well as a safe refuge for wildlife. You will have opportunities to learn about plant propagation, identification and care of native plants, and garden design. Hands-on work includes planting, weeding, irrigating, fertilizing, composting, and mulching.
