Hidden Villa welcomes the San Jose Astronomical Association (SJAA) for an evening viewing of the planets, stars, galaxies and other heavenly bodies. This free event introduces the public to the use of optical aids such as binoculars and telescopes, along with the chance to ask experienced SJAA members questions about astronomy and learn how to use a telescope.

Paint, sketch, doodle, etch, and create with us in the garden.

Enjoy a 1.5 hour guided exploration of the garden, farm, and surrounding area in our unique and beautiful location. Visit and interact with the farm animals, learn about the environment, & spend some time outside in nature. There is always something new to explore!

Spend a creative afternoon needle felting to make a 4” x 6” painting with wool. Learn the basics of needle felting and how to safely use the tools. Enjoy playing with texture and color as we explore techniques for shaping, blending colors, and layering.

Join us on a walking tour around the farm to learn the rich history of our land.

During this 2 day workshop learn the ancient art of tannin-bath hide tanning! Each student will take home a finished Hidden Villa hide.

Enjoy Autumn with some outdoor exploration and nature-inspired crafting. We will start with 30 minutes of walking in search of acorn tops followed by 1 hour of needle-felting with wool. Learn the basics of needle felting and how to safely use the tools. Play with texture and color as we create wool acorns with our gathering. All tools and materials provided.
