After over 20 years of teaching, Ineke transitioned to the corporate setting to do Operations work for her husband’s business. Now that she has returned to the exciting world of servicing kids, she is excited to use the operations experience she has gained to support all the amazing education programs Hidden Villa offers. She was drawn to Hidden Villa when she learned that they are committed to providing educational opportunities and experiences for all, regardless of race, class, or status. And, as an added bonus, she gets to work with some very smart, dedicated individuals in a beautiful setting. She looks forward to continuously learning more about sustainability and agriculture. Ineke‘s favorite Hidden Villa activity is taking a brisk walk around the farm in the middle of the day. She remains in awe of all that goes on, from the excitement in the students’ voices as they are fully engaged in their field trips, to the curiosity of the goats, the wandering turkeys, and the beautiful, nature-filled hiking trails. Two of Ineke‘s favorite mission-related books are What Happened to You – conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing by Bruce Perry and Do Something Beautiful for God; The Essential Teachings of Mother Teresa.
