Megan grew up in the South Bay Area in Saratoga, CA which is 20 minutes south of Hidden Villa. Megan’s experience includes teaching after school programs, leading field trips for students aged 2 to 17 years old, and planning programs for weekend visitors. Megan is very passionate about environmental justice and wanted to work in an organization that values preserving our local ecosystem, racial equality, and welcomes the LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally this position allows her to teach the next generation of children the importance of environmental stewardship and regenerative agriculture. Megan’s favorite things to do on the farm are to hang out with the lambs, go banana slug spotting on Creek Trail, and to play “Baby Deer” with her students. Her favorite mission-related book is A Terrible Thing to Waste: Environmental Racism and Its Assault on the American Mind by Harriet A. Washington.
