Back to School?...Back to Hidden Villa!

For Grades K – 6

1 class per week for 11 weeks: Thursdays, or Fridays

September 20 to December 7

After a full day of school, give your child the chance to spend their afternoons exploring Hidden Villa’s farm and wilderness. Our education staff will help students self-direct their learning as they work in small groups  to engage with our farm animals, observe wild critters, take hikes through the forest, discover native plants, cultivate their green thumbs, and express their creativity and curiosity in a natural setting. Through inquiry-based learning, this program will reinforce the new Next Generation Science Standards used in most classrooms and feel more like play than instruction. Your children will come home from Hidden Villa full of fresh air and more closely connected to our natural world of wonder.

Transportation to and from Hidden Villa must be arranged by the child’s caregiver.

For more details and registration, please visit After School Programs

Fee: 350/child

Volunteer Open House (Thu. 23 Aug, 2018 10:00 am - 1:00 pm)

Volunteers needed: No experience necessary - all training is provided! Enjoy the rewarding experience of volunteering with the Hidden Villa Environmental Education Program. During our programs, Volunteers lead students as they meet farm animals, explore our organic garden, hike our wilderness trails, and discover their own connection to the environment.

Walk through the footsteps of our students during the Open House for Potential Volunteers. We hope you fall in love with Guiding at Hidden Villa as you awaken your senses in the education garden, meet farm animals face to face, and gently explore nature with a short trip into the wilderness. This is the perfect opportunity to learn more about what volunteers do during a field trip at Hidden Villa.

Please note: this volunteer opportunity is for adults only.  We will be meeting at 10am at the Wolken Education Center for a brief introduction before heading out on our adventure. Bring comfortable clothes, sun protection, walking shoes, water, and a sack lunch. Please register below to RSVP or email Nicole at hveepvolunteers@hiddenvilla.org.
