Wildlife of the SF Bay Area: Mammals

Description

Mammals are sneaky, most of the time (they have to be).  It can be very hard to observe most of our closest wild relatives in the field, so instead of frustrating ourselves by searching outdoors, this time naturalist Garth will share images, stories and touchable specimens from over 30 years of intensive local wildlife watching and tracking.  Consider pairing this class with Getting Started with Wildlife Tracking also available for registration.

Good to Know

1. Heavy rain cancels, as most class activities take place outdoors.  Dress in layers for variable weather.

2. Classes may involve 1-2 miles of gentle walking.

3. Brief indoor slide presentations will necessitate face masks until further notice.  Masks are optional outdoors.

Who Is This For?

Motivated students of nature, of any age.  Children 12 and younger need to be accompanied by a registered adult.
