Anxiety about "things that might get you" can be a lifelong barrier to outdoors experiences. Misplaced fear can also distract from recognizing real dangers in your midst. So we're starting off our new natural history program series with a field exploration of those few things (both biological and environmental) that actually do pose significant danger. We'll develop a ranking order for real vs. imagined dangers to help you plan for the safest possible outings going forward.
With luck, this class will serve you well in all of your future explorations, and actually put many of your fears to rest. As we tell the kids in Hidden Villa programs, knowledge is power!
