Getting Started with Wildlife Tracking, Part 2 (Field Day!)

For this class, we will rendezvous at Gazos Creek State Beach for some actual field tracking. Sand is among the most treasured substrates for tracking and it can sometimes capture long trails that tell intricate stories of where an animal went, what it did along the way, and perhaps even why it did all that. Be prepared for variable coastal weather, no matter what's forecasted for inland areas! Previous participation in the Tracking Part 1 class is strongly recommended, but not required.

Good to Know

1. Heavy rain cancels, as most class activities take place outdoors. Dress in layers for variable weather.
2. Classes may involve 1-2 miles of gentle walking.
3. Brief indoor slide presentations will necessitate face masks until further notice. Masks are optional outdoors.

All Classes in the Seasonal Cycles Natural History Series are $30/person.

If you are an individual planning to take 4 classes in the series, you can sign-up for the Seasonal Cycles Natural History Series Bundle on the previous page for $100 for any four classes.
