Hidden Villa Summer Camp program mission:
We develop young leaders who are committed to social and environmental justice and are equipped with a sense of awe for natural and human beauty, tools for non-violent multicultural community building, as well as the confidence to make positive change in our families, communities and world.
To attract a diverse camp population, we offer scholarships to campers from a wide range of backgrounds. Fun camp activities build confidence and self-esteem, develop leadership abilities, and teach problem-solving skills. Over 1100 campers, ranging in age from six to seventeen years, attend Hidden Villa day camp and residential camp each summer. Hidden Villa offers its campers daily opportunities to learn about the organic farm, animals, and wilderness. Campers also actively participate in Hidden Villa’s multicultural community. We foster daily conversations relating to age appropriate aspects of social and environmental justice, while enjoying exciting summer activities, such as swimming, arts and crafts, and games.
