Overnight: Leaders in Training

Description

This 5-day program is for young people who are interested in and ready for the responsibility of caring for children in a camp environment while passing on the Hidden Villa legacy of social and environmental justice. LIT participants learn some of the skills they will need as counselors, supporting camp programs, as well as enjoying some camp fun of their own. Topics covered in LIT are communication techniques, conflict resolution, and some basic leadership skills to use with groups of campers. Trainees will have the opportunity to practice these skills and work with experienced counselors in our Day Camp programs.

LIT campers will enjoy sleeping under the stars on a camping platform in the fresh air.

  • The sleeping area is mixed-gender.
  • Sleeping pads will be provided.
