Birds and Their Nests

Description

Springtime is an especially fun time to pay attention to birds. Many will be at their showiest, singing their hearts out, defending territories, constructing nests, or perhaps already tending to their nestlings. We will review species found at Hidden Villa, investigate some nests collected after past seasons, and then step outside to respectfully observe some pre-scouted nest attempts in progress. Come and marvel at the architectural prowess of these beautiful animals, who build their homes primarily with their mouths (don’t try this without special training!) Binoculars are welcome, but will not be necessary to enjoy this class.
