Tarah Herning (she/her)

Tarah graduated from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. She was an Elementary School Teacher and Instructional Coach before transitioning to outdoor education. Prior to joining the team at Hidden Villa she served as the Program Manager for a local non-profit community farm. The Hidden Villa value that most aligns with Tarah’s values is exploration. She loves animals, hiking, backpacking, riding horses, and the great outdoors. Tarah’s favorite Hidden Villa activity is visiting the animals with students. Her favorite mission-aligned book is Beyond Ecophobia: Reclaiming the Heart in Nature Education
