Beginner Watercolor Live Instruction

This beginner-friendly workshop is an invitation to slow down, explore your creativity, and enjoy the relaxing process of painting.  No previous watercolor experience is necessary.  Instructor Elvira Rascov will demonstrate watercolor techniques step by step and guide students of all ages as they create their own painting.  You will learn how to work with water and paint, control your brush, mix colors, and create different washes, textures, and effects.

The class is designed to be relaxed, encouraging, and fun, with demonstrations and individual guidance throughout the workshop. You will have plenty of time to practice and discover how watercolor can be both expressive and enjoyable.

All materials will be provided for $20 - included in the program fee - making this an easy and inviting experience for beginners. Just come ready to explore, paint, and have fun! Whether you are trying watercolor for the first time or simply want to enjoy a creative experience in the beautiful surroundings of Hidden Villa, this workshop is a wonderful way to connect with art, nature, and community.

Artist Bio: 
Elvira Rascov is a Colombian American artist and art instructor who loves capturing the beauty of nature through watercolor and oil painting. Inspired by her early art teachers in Bogotá, Elvira has been painting for more than 20 years, finding much of her inspiration in the California landscape and the changing light, colors, and textures of nature.  Elvira teaches watercolor and other art classes throughout the Bay Area. She believes art should be fun, creative, and expressive, and enjoys helping students discover their own creativity while learning new techniques. She also incorporates her painting techniques into unique, functional ceramic pieces.

Good to Know

This class is designed for ages 12 and up.  The registration fee is per person and all children must be accompanied by a paying, participating adult.

No experience necessary!  We welcome all aspiring artists.

Please note this class requires a minimum of 7 participants to hold the class.  If we do not reach the minimum, we will notify and refund all registrants.

Cost

$60/person.  All children must be accompanied by a paying, participating adult.
