Amanda holds a Master’s of Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco, and a Bachelor’s in Linguistics from UC Santa Cruz; she is originally from San Diego. Amanda has a background in housing for people with special needs, fiscal sponsorship, and the performing arts; she most recently worked at the Sunset Cultural Center in Carmel, CA, where she served as Director of Finance and HR. Amanda is excited to be back in the Bay Area, and she is thrilled to begin her Hidden Villa journey. In her free time, Amanda enjoys cooking, birding, and exploring.
The Hidden Villa value that most aligns with Amanda is access. As a former housing provider and advocate for individuals with disabilities, Amanda believes strongly in ensuring all people have access to the places they love, regardless of physical or financial challenges. As a foreign language learner, Amanda also values multi-lingual and/or visual communication tools to ensure access for all.
There is still so much to explore, but Amanda is enjoying touring the ranch and various trails at Hidden Villa.
Amanda’s two favorite mission-aligned books are “American Terroir” by Rowan Jacobsen and “The Invention of Nature” by Andrea Wulf.
