Carol Stanek comes to the HV Board with a professional background in finance and systems management. Carol earned her BS in Finance from UC Berkeley and her MBA from Stanford University. As the Director of Financial Operations at Echelon Corporation, Carol implemented and oversaw the financial systems that enabled Echelon to grow from its first customer order to a publicly traded company with over $150M in worldwide sales and manufacturing.

As a Cupertino Parks and Recreation Commissioner, Carol strives to offer residents of all ages and abilities connections to our natural environment. Carol was recognized as the Volunteer of the Year in 2010 by the Friends of Stevens Creek Trail for her successful advocacy to improve neighborhood access to the Stevens Creek Trail. Carol initiated and led the first ever Flash Mob in Cupertino, bringing community members together to enjoy her favorite pastimes; music, dance and the outdoors. Carol is inspired by Hidden Villa’s vision of a sustainable, healthy and just future for all. She hopes her work on the Board will help position Hidden Villa to continue to deliver on its vision well into the future.
