Caroline Diemer (She/Her)

Community Programs and Guest Services Manager

Caroline grew up in San Jose, CA and remembers eating rhubarb from the Education Garden at Hidden Villa as a kindergartener. She holds a B.A. from Wesleyan University. Caroline has worked in programming and guest services at museums and cultural institutions across the country, including those in Washington, D.C., Albuquerque, NM, and Manitowoc, WI. She is excited to return to the Bay Area and work at a place she enjoyed so much as a child.

The Hidden Villa value that resonates most with Caroline is exploration. She loves watching someone light up when they discover something that interests them. Caroline’s favorite Hidden Villa activity is listening to the sounds of Hidden Villa: birds singing, sheep baaing, and children playing. Her favorite mission-aligned book is “Women’s Work” by Elizabeth Wayland Barber, which explores the long history of cloth and the incredibly important, yet often forgotten, women who worked tirelessly to clothe the world.
