Growing up in San Jose, Elisa was lucky to visit Hidden Villa on school field trips as a child in the 1980’s.
Elisa has spent her Human Resources career in the nonprofit sector, including organizations focused on conservation, legal aid, human services, and animal welfare. She also enjoys nonprofit board service and volunteer work, and offering pro bono HR support to small nonprofits.
Drawn to the Duveneck’s vision of wilderness access and social justice, Elisa was thrilled to join the team at Hidden Villa. She feels very lucky to work with incredibly talented and dedicated staff. Two of Elisa’s favorite parts of her work day are visiting the grunting sows each morning and hearing children explore the property.
Two favorite mission-related books are How to Be an Antiracist, by Ibram X. Kendi, and The Overstory, by Richard Powers.
