Special Projects & HV History Archivist

Eric Flint (He/him)

Special Projects & HV History Archivist

Eric holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech. He has a deep background in grant-enabled research and development, project and small business management. In 2020, he started to pivot to a focus on Local history as a way of cultivating a deeper sense of place while combining his long-standing interests in History, Archaeology, Archives and old maps.

The Hidden Villa value that most aligns with Eric’s personal ethos is Stewardship. Without HV’s stewardship of its lands, programs and history there would be less for the community to access and explore.

Eric’s favorite activity at Hidden Villa is working alongside volunteers to learn more about and then sharing inspirational bits of its history with visitors. Close seconds are hearing the Adobe Creek as it burbles along and being at HV on those magical overcast days when a ray of sun finds its way through the clouds and a rainbow appears.

Eric’s favorite mission-aligned book is of course HV’s founder, Josephine Duveneck, autobiography “Life on Two Levels”
