Jill’s family relocated to California in time for her to begin primary school in the Bay Area and she has called the south bay home ever since. After graduating from UCSC where she studied fair housing and political economy, she began a career in the non-profit sector. She currently works for Heifer International and has held executive leadership and program management positions that emphasize program delivery, design, and evaluation as well as donor relationships and fundraising. Working as a Summer Camp Director at Hidden Villa was a formative experience that allowed her to explore some of the issues that she cares about the most – youth development, the natural environment and healthy food systems. Jill has volunteered for the American Camp Association as a Standards Visitor and for State and Regional Park systems as a trail patrol volunteer. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, cooking fresh food, and training for and competing in equestrian endurance riding.
