As an East Coast transplant who has greatly benefitted from access to Northern California’s natural wonders, Joey is thrilled to support Hidden Villa’s mission of education, environmental stewardship and social justice. His philanthropic work has predominantly focused on educational and youth-based organizations, including Silicon Valley Social Venture Fund, BUILD California, Project Redwood, Unity Care and the alumni boards of his college and high school. Professionally, Joey cofounded OA Ventures in 2020 to invest in public and private technology companies. He was previously an early-stage investor, worked at several edtech startups and was Chief of Staff at the Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen Foundation. He also spent a six-month sabbatical working at The Ranch at Rock Creek. Joey holds an MBA and an MA in Education from Stanford and a BA from Bucknell.
