Micah is originally from Los Angeles but has lived in every state on the West Coast (including Alaska!), Utah, and Texas. They transitioned from the service industry to the Outdoor Education industry three and a half years ago and spent 11 seasons working at camp programs like The Outdoor School in Marble Falls, Texas and Caritas Creek at CYO Camp in Occidental. They have worked at Hidden Villa’s Summer Camp for the last three summers, first as a Unit Leader for the Teen Programs and then as the Camper and Counselor Coordinator.
The Hidden Villa value that most aligns with Micah is stewardship. They believe that when we protect the planet, we also gain a conviction to protect the people on it, by any means necessary. Micah’s favorite activity at Hidden Villa is hiking on the gorgeous trails or playing with the sweet goats. Their favorite mission-aligned book is We Do This til We Free Us by Mariame Kaba.
