Nina Vuoso (she/they)

Education Program Implementation Manager

Nina was born and raised in the South Bay of Los Angeles and has bounced between the two South Bays a few times. Nina partnered with Hidden Villa in a regional collaborative capacity in their previous role as Environmental Education Specialist with Mid-peninsula Regional Open Space District. As someone who has spent a lot of time in environmental outdoor education settings (5 years teaching with Los Angeles County Outdoor Science School) and farms and gardens (2 years at Veggielution Community Farm in East San Jose and various farm and garden summer camps), Nina felt immediately at home at Hidden Villa. Nina’s favorite activities will always be asking good questions and listening, and doing meaningful work with others – she live’s for that high five moment! They recently finished How to do Nothing by Jenny O’dell, which is somewhat of an art manifesto about the need to drop out of the so-called attention economy, and uses nature and caretaking of community and place as a way through.
