Sofia grew up in San Francisco, California, on the Southeast side near McLaren Park. Sofia supports all aspects of managing Hidden Villa’s Internship program, from orienting and onboarding, to planning professional development experiences, and holding space for the arc of the internship experience. She works closely with Departmental Managers to craft an intentional program curriculum, aligned to Hidden Villa’s Impact Areas. Sofia was drawn to working at Hidden Villa because of the wide range of learning opportunities available through the organization. She values learning about our relationship to Mother Nature, growing and cooking food, and ways to live more in alignment with her values. She enjoys learning alongside interns, as they bring lots of various passions, interests and experiences to this work. She also enjoys tagging along for a harvest day or nature hike when she has the opportunity. Sofia’s current favorite mission-related book is Braiding Sweetgrass.
