Description
This is a 5 day overnight camp for those who are interested in learning how to backpack and experience wilderness travel. Participants in this program will take on a 2-night backpacking trip up Black Mountain. Campers will get to know the Adobe Creek watershed by exploring the wilderness surrounding Hidden Villa and the nearby Foothills Nature Preserve. They will learn Leave No Trace principles, wilderness skills and create lasting bonds with their fellow campers.
Previous backpacking experience is not required. In fact, we encourage those who are new to hiking and camping to sign up as this is an excellent stepping stone program for campers who may want to participate in our two week Bay 2 Sea backpacking program one day!

Who Is This For?
Trip 1 is for youth entering 8th - 9th grades in the fall.
Trip 2 is for youth enter 10th - 12th grades in the fall.
Camp Sessions
Trip 1: June 17th - 21st (8th-9th graders)
Trip 2: June 24th - 28th (10th - 12th graders)
Price
Watershed Wanderers is $1,050 for the 5 day long program.
Financial aid is available by request, for all youth and families with financial need. Applications will be thoughtfully considered on a case by case basis and we will notify you as soon as possible of your scholarship amount. In line with our camp values of inclusion, equity and accessibility, we strongly encourage children/youth who have experienced marginalization or underrepresentation to apply.
To apply for financial aid, please complete the “optional financial aid form” located in the UltraCamp portal during the registration process.
Registration
Registration for Hidden Villa Summer Camp will open on December 4th, 2023 for all families registered for our 2023 season. Registration will be open to the entire community on January 21st, 2024.
