Join experienced Archery Instructor, Hameed at Hidden Villa's very own Archery range! Ages 8 and up will gain skills in a fun and safe experience!

Late April is an especially fun time to pay special attention to birds. We will review slides of some local species and investigate nests from past seasons up close, before we step outside to respectfully observe some pre-scouted nest attempts in progress.

Earth Club balances learning, adventure, and fun as your student learns both hard and soft skills (such as journaling and teamwork) involved in becoming a skilled student of nature.

Come celebrate Earth Day, or any day, with bug-eyed wonder! Insects are cool, they're often beautiful, and insect benefits to humanity include critical ecosystem services such as pollination, decomposition, and sustenance for vast categories of vertebrate life such as birds and amphibians.

This class will be a celebration of these forgotten fauna, their beauty and strange adaptations, and of their beneficial roles in our lives, focusing on slides and taxidermied specimens to prepare you for those rare occasions when you do glimpse one in the wild.

Explore the world of nature writing! Poets and naturalists alike have found inspiration in connection with the outdoors.

Visit Hidden Villa and explore our education garden, discover our hiking trails and meet our farm animals. Reservations are encouraged, but not required. The property is open to visitors from 9:00am - 5:00pm.

Roots have a life of their own that may surprise you! For their part, shoots (or stems or ‘trunks’) facilitate a complex exchange of functions between above- and below-ground parts of plants. Join us to delve into those mysterious functions and processes, and watch some of them in action on the farm and in the forest.
